Rachel & Dan’s library October 6, 2007

Name: Rachel & Dan

Country: United States

About the library: Our home library has about 3,000 books at any given time. We are
longtime readers and book nuts and have turned that obsession into a career, as we own Old Saratoga Books in Schuylerville, New York, USA, a used and rare bookstore.

We love all kinds of books, but particularly love books about natural history, books about books, historical mysteries, jazz books, and fiction by Michael Ondaatje, George Macdonald Fraser, Sarah Bird, Charles Dickens, Russell Banks, Robertson Davies, Patrick O’Brian and Ian Rankin.

This photo shows our library in a rare state of being orderly and neat. Usually there are more piles of things around and messes from our two kids, two cats and one fuzzy St. Bernard-mix dog.

Haw cozy! That couch looks SO inviting! I love how the books are stacked in every corner, but it still looks neat.
