About the library: This picture is now a couple years old, but the same scene is now difficult to photograph because there are two tents in the way. This shows the “already read, fiction/popular non-fiction” section of the stacks here in my lair. To the left of this picture, out of view, are the roughly 400 books in my TBR stacks–on shelves, in piles. And behind me as I photograph are the classics and history books. I employ an army of children to attend to the books. As you can see, one of them is hard at work here reshelving.

The girl climbing the shelves is fantastic! I love the unorganized organization of your shelves.

Great pic . . . I’d love to use it on a website I am creating. Would you mind? I want to couple it with the following quote: “So please, oh PLEASE, we beg, we pray, Go throw your TV set away, And in its place you can install, A lovely bookshelf on the wall.” — Roald Dahl, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
