Country: Spain

About the library: This is my little library, well…, a little portion of my little library. I spend here all my time, all my life. Books, only books. A chaise-long, the world of my shelves, and a good book in front of me is all I need when I’m alone.

Meredith’s Library March 30, 2008

Filed under: * Look inside the library,United States — Kim @ 1:09 am

Name: Meredith

Country: United States

About the library: This is the library side of our home office/library. All of our books are on these shelves, with the exception of my husband’s psychology textbooks, my writing references, and our packed away children’s books. This collection is the culmination of my English major, his English minor, and our general bibliophilia.

In addition to providing a home for our books, these shelves double as a jungle gym for our cats. I have to do some reshuffling/reorganizing, as evidenced by the empty shelf.

About the library: This is one of my home libraries it holds about one third of our books. It’s my favourite because it’s in the kitchen and I spend most of my time here, the chair which is slightly visible is where I sit to write my blog or do my homework. I love being surrounded by my books and I love exchanging using Bookmooch or Bookcrossing!

Michelle’s Library December 14, 2007

Name: Michelle

Country: United States

About the library: I would probably have to take pictures of my entire apartment in order to show my entire library, but this picture shows my most number of bookshelves that are right next to each other.

Divided by genre, here you can see most of my “nonfiction,” but it’s not including antique books and anything that was purchased after November 1st. 🙂 My graphic novel collection is also there, albeit a little disorganized… And of course I’ll have to mention the turtle who finds his home underneath the philosophy and religion sections. About the library: This is my formal library right at the entrance of my home. It has plenty of shelves and an L shape with 3 station desk areas for my kids which I home school. I love the wood color with the black contrast. However this is one of three I have in my home. I have one in my bedroom and another in my private office.

Kim’s Library (Again) September 18, 2007

Name: Kim

Country: The Netherlands

About the library: I have posted my own library first, when I started this blog. This as a sort of “You show me yours, I’ll show you mine”. It seemed fair. I said that I would turn my library around, and so I have. I did not have the time to take pictures, but now I finally did. The biggest change is that my shelves are now on either side of the walls, because I had to add one. This was the only way to make room. I like the room better now there is more symmetry.

Alexandra’s Library July 20, 2007

Name: Alexandra

Country: United States

About the library: This is one part of my collection, surrounding my favorite reading chair. There are more bookcases spread through my 630sf house, and there are books in every room, making it very cosy. My three dogs (dachshunds) often sit in the chair with me while I read though there is also a dog bed nearby. My books are mostly history and art; the fiction is mysteries, fantasy, children’s books, and 19th-century favorites (a lot of Dickens, Austen, and Verne).
