About the library: Martin from the netherlands urged us through his website that we should have a look at you website, Its great to see all the collections from around the world. Here is a picture of my library. Ofcourse there is a lot of Boudewijn Buch in it. As well as a complete encyclopedia from the fifties wich belonged to my grandfather. As you can see I have to buy a new bookcase soon, cause collecting books is an addiction.

About the library: I have posted my own library first, when I started this blog. This as a sort of “You show me yours, I’ll show you mine”. It seemed fair. I said that I would turn my library around, and so I have. I did not have the time to take pictures, but now I finally did. The biggest change is that my shelves are now on either side of the walls, because I had to add one. This was the only way to make room. I like the room better now there is more symmetry.

About the library: This is my own library. I moved in May and decided to buy an extra large bookcase to hold all my books and the books I will buy in the future. The bookcase is the main feature of my livingroom and I hope that in the future the whole thing will be full of my precious books.

About the library: One of seven book and show-cases. The shelfs are a mirror of my interests. Besides a part of the book collection, fossils, minerals, sculptures – the large one is Plato(on) – and ancient artefacts can be seen on the picture. It is not a home library, but a very pleasant way to life among books.

About the library: I wish I had a library as tidy as some on the photographs on your website. I always put all kinds of ‘junk’ in front of the books just because the shelves are deep enough. In this picture you only see one side of my room, but I also have books in my bedroom, about 5 meters wide, 2 meters high, in my walk-in closet another 3 bookcases, just because there was room and I needed it (!) I have a big problem because I can’t throw away any books, all my old Agatha Christies, I’ll never read them again but…..

About the library: This is one wall in my home that is completely covered with book cases. I have two rooms completely filled with books. The book cases you are looking at, contain my Boudewijn Büch library. (He was a Dutch writer, TV personality and traveler. He died in 2002, aged 53.)

The case on the left contains all the books he has written or contributed to, the three others are filled with books from his personal library which was auctioned two years after his death. (He owned an amazing 100,000 books!). Emphasis in my library: travel books, geography and history. With a special taste for (leather) bound books and luxe editions, signed copies etc. At the moment I own 3,731 books. Since 2004 I’m buying about 500 books per year, so I have to move to a new house in a year or two… Don’t tell my wife! 😉
